Buddhir balam yasho dhairyam nirbhayatvam arogataa |
Ajaadyam vaak-patutvam cha hanoomat-smaranaad bhavet ||
Meaning: Wisdom, strength, fame, courage, fearlessness, health, alertness and eloquence — all these come from remembering Hanuman.
Note: Eight gifts. Note the first: buddhi — wisdom, not strength. And the last: vak-patutva — skill in speech, for which Rama himself praised him.
Students often recite this verse before exams.

A simple daily practice
Meaning: Morning (on waking): Manojavam maaruta-tulya-vegam… — one verse is enough.
Tuesday / Saturday: light a lamp · remember Rama's name ·
Hanuman Chalisa · and if in difficulty, the
Sankat Mochan Ashtakam.
Before a journey: the
Kavacham, or the twelve names.
At night: Buddhir balam yasho dhairyam…
Note: What matters is not how much you recite — but how present your mind is while reciting. One verse, said sincerely, is enough.
